ATB Deep Relaxation
Deep relaxation and the nervous system.
In this training you explore relaxation as a proces of selfknowledge and conscious use of oneself. Experience a wide variety of relaxation techniques to deepen your understanding of relaxation as a self regulating process.
You enter in contact with the body as a continuum of thought - emotion - instinct - energy and nervous reaction. You experience all levels of being, interlinked and forming a living body. By understanding the natural processes of the body, you will find out your own personal way to adjust the level of relaxation in the being. Adjusting to the different situations and demands of our day to day life.
What is relaxation?
Generally relaxation stands for a release of tension, a return to equilibrium. A relaxation technique is any method, process, or activity that helps a person to relax, to reduce levels of stress, or to attain a state of increased calmness. Relaxation techniques help to regulate the nervous system. Among many other benefits it helps to decrease muscle tension at the fysical level. Relaxation can lower the bloodpressure and slow down the heartbeath/rates.
Regarding relaxation techniques we think it is important to try several approaches. In the end the best technique is the one that works for you.
Exploring oneself - learning conscious self regulation.
Relaxation techniques bring awareness of the being as a sensory appreciation. You develope the ability to notice inner movements and inner states without judgement.
